This is an all encompassing issue as it can relate to many things.  Specifically, we are trying to relate breast shape issues that are not caused by the following:

• "Bottoming Out" or Implant Displacement Inferiorly
• Inferior stretch
• Lateral Implant Displacement
• Synmastia or "Uniboob"
• Capsule Contracture
• Implant Leak or Rupture
• Texture Problems: Rippling, Wrinkling or Palpable Implants
• Infection
• Incomplete Muscle Release
• Ptosis or "Droopy Breasts"

Poor shape not caused by the above may be due to originally shaped breasts that were not corrected such as a tubular deformity. This may be corrected by correcting the tubular issue with scoring, fat grafting or combination.

Poor shape may also be due to breast tissue in a non-aesthetically pleasing place, such as too lateral. This is corrected through breast tissue excision, similarly to what we may do with a breast lift.
