Breast Revision
Before & After Gallery

Breast augmentation procedures, whether the initial procedure or a revision breast augmentation, are sometimes made more complicated by the presence of physical characteristics such as thin tissue, stretched breast skin and/or recent weight loss. These characteristics can prevent the most desirable aesthetic result unless the implant can be better supported to keep it in place, as well as providing an additional layer of tissue to mask the implant in very thin patients, so the implant’s edges are not visible after the procedure is finished.

To obtain the control necessary for a successful initial or repair outcome, the physicians at Sanctuary Plastic Surgery often employ Strattice Reconstructive Tissue Matrix.

What Is Strattice™ Reconstructive Tissue Matrix?
Strattice Reconstructive Tissue Matrix is sterile reconstructive tissue made from porcine dermis, which undergoes non-damaging processing to render it appropriate for implantation into humans. It is created in specific configurations to support the repair procedure in breast revision surgeries, and can also be cut specifically to help the surgeon achieve optimum results in both original and revision breast surgeries. It acts as an internal bra support to keep the implant(s) in place and to be an additional layer between the pocket and the outer skin to hide the edges of the implant(s).

It is most often used by our surgeons to create an "internal bra", to support the pocket which holds the implant(s), to correct media movement of the implants (when the implants move toward the center of the chest), and to correct wrinkling or rippling of the implant(s).

Our surgeons have found Strattice™ Reconstructive Tissue Matrix to be an effective aid in their quest for the most perfectly placed and shaped breast implants.
